ADVANCES IN DRUG DISCOVERY
Following the opening course in 2014, and three following successful courses in 2015 – 2017 we are very proud that the fifth course in 2018 was organized in collaboration with the Weizmann Institute of Science (link), Israel in the beautiful campus of the Weizmann Institute. As of 2018 we have introduced new name: Prague-Weizmann School on Drug Discovery. The registration is now open for the 6th school, this time again in Prague, Czech Republic.
The Summer School is organized by the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague (www.uct-prague.eu), Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the CAS, Prague, (www.uochb.cz) and Weizmann Institute of Science (www.weizmann.ac.il), Rehovot.
The summer school is giving a broad view on the advances in drug discovery process from the basic science up to the production process development.
As in previous years the attendants are welcome to present their research in the form of poster presentation.
The Summer School is intended mainly for PhD students and postdocs. Expert speakers from major international pharma and biotech companies and academia will cover these broad areas:
- Target discovery
- General chemical approaches – medicinal chemistry
- Structure and In silico based drug design
- Lead structure characterization
- Preclinical and clinical development
- Principles and examples of commercial drug development cycle
BEST POSTER AWARD
we would like to encourage participants to present their research in the form of poster presentation. The scientific committee will evaluate all contributions and award THE BEST POSTER.
SCHOLARSHIP
